Tesa Micro Hite 350 – perfect for precision measuring

TESA is the name in metrological tools. With a strong reputation for quality, reliability and durability TESA products are used and recommended across the manufacturing industry for their precision measuring.

The TESA Micro Hite 350 is a manual 2D height gauge suitable for use in workshops. It offers comfortable and accurate positioning, which is vital for precision measuring, particularly for small parts or when using extensions and small probes. Sturdy and reliable, this manual digital height gauge comes with an interchangeable battery making it suitable for small workspaces or for field work where there is no access to a mains supply.

At metrologyandcalibration Ltd we stock a whole range of precision measuring devices for all businesses, big or small. Why do I need a digital height gauge?

A typical manual height gauge is accurate to a thousandth (0.001″); pretty good, but when you want truly precise measurements, it could be better. A manual digital height gauge is accurate to a tenth (0.0001″) or sometimes even better. Now we’re talking ultra-precise and incredibly accurate measuring for the best possible results.

So, why are digital gauges so much better? Well, the primary weakness of the average height gauge is how square it is to the reference plane being measured.  If the surface plate is not truly flat or if the height gauge’s arm is not square to the base, then the height gauge will be less accurate.

Digitising a height gauge achieves greater consistency and accuracy of measurement. And computerisation lets the machine do the maths.

At metrologyandcalibration Ltd we stock all sizes of digital height gauge, from the Tesa Micro Hite 900 to its smaller cousin the Tesa Micro Hite 350 so whatever your measuring requirements, we’ve got something to make your life easier and your measurements more accurate.

What does a digital height gauge do?

A height gauge does exactly what you’d expect it to— it measures the height of a workpiece. It’s a simple measuring instrument in which a slider with a measuring stylus attached moves relative to a measuring scale on a beam, with the motion along a single vertical axis nominally perpendicular to a reference plane on the instrument base. A scriber, test indicator, touch probe or CMM-style probe is used to locate the measured feature and to provide pinpoint accuracy. A height gauge is a vital tool in quality control.

At Tesa Metrology Ltd we supply high quality digital height gauges to help decrease the time needed to lay out a part. Not only is the dial easier to read than a manual scale, but the dual-digit counters allow you to set one counter as the reference datum with the other to be used as a floating zero.

We stock a whole range of products from the Tesa Micro Hite 350 to the Tesa Micro Height 900 so you can be sure to purchase the right manual digital height gauge for your needs.
